A very unique Christmas Gin for a sensational Christmas

Meet our Christmas Pudding Gin - 2022 edition

Each year we produce our Christmas gin in collaboration with other local businesses to showcase the amazing produce and botanicals that we are graced with in this paradise we call home.

This year, we have teamed up with award-winning Ochre Restaurant, Cairns Far North Queensland to bring you our very limited Christmas Gin that combines our beloved childhood memory filled pudding and the best of our tropical botanicals. Ochre is one of Cairns longest running restaurants with Craig Squire opening its doors in 1994. Craig, Carley and their team have been dedicated to creating modern Australian dishes with a strong focus of native local ingredients since its inspection. It’s this love for local produce that bought this collaboration to light to produce what we think is our best Christmas Pudding Gin to date.

The not-so-secret recipe of our delicious Christmas Gin

It all starts with a delicate backbone of juniper. Our juniper berries are grown in Macedonia before making their way to Cairns. We crush each berry to ensure we extract as much flavour as possible before it is steeped in our spirit for 24 hours. Just before the distillation, head distiller Rory adds in Daintree Vanilla, cinnamon, raisins, macadamia, ginger, passion fruit seeds, caramelised apple and few other secret ingredients.

Meanwhile, fresh mango, oranges and Ochre’s Christmas Puddings are placed in our Vapour basket where the gin passes through and captures all the oils and flavour. Once distilled, the gin is placed to rest in a sherry and port barrels from Overeem Distillery in Tasmania for up to six months adding a beautiful taste and colour to the gin.

The final stage is adding some local honey to the gin for that touch of sweetness with two different styles of honey used to get the required taste.

We crafted it with locally sourced mangos, honey, Daintree vanilla, cinnamon, raisins, ginger, passion fruit seeds, apple, caramel and fresh Christmas Puddings. This gin is aged in Sherry and Port barrels from Overeem Distillery, Tasmania to create a beautifully balanced gin replicating a tropical Christmas.

Christmas Club

A Christmassy take on a classic gin cocktail.


  • 60mL Christmas Pudding Gin
  • 20mL Lemon juice
  • 15mL Raspberry syrup
  • 15mL Aquafaba
  • Garnish with flowers or raspberries on a skewer

Add all ingredients into a cocktail shaker and fill with ice. Shake until cold and strain into a cocktail glass.


Christmas Lady

A classic gin cocktail for a classic Christmas lunch.


  • 40mL Christmas Pudding Gin
  • 30mL Lemon juice
  • 20mL Cointreau
  • 15mL Sugar syrup
  • 15mL Aquafaba

Add all ingredients into a cocktail shaker, filled with ice. Shake until cold and strain into a cocktail glass.


Christmas Passion

A tropical Christmas in a glass with the Christmas Passion. Here is what you need:


  • 45mL Christmas Pudding Gin
  • 20mL Passionfruit syrup
  • 10mL Lemon Juice
  • 10mL Sugar syrup
  • Top up with soda.
  • Garnish with a mint sprig

Add all ingredients into a tall glass. Fill with ice, stir and top with soda.


Beez Knees

Buzz around with a Beez Knees, made with our very unique Christmas Pudding Gin.


  • 45mL Christmas Pudding Gin
  • 15mL Honey Syrup
  • 20mL Lemon juice
  • Garnish with a lemon peel

Add all ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake hard and strain into a rocks glass filled with ice.
